three ingredient cacao balls

Calories: 115, fat: 8 g (saturated: 1g, unsaturated: 7g), carbohydrates: 10g, protein: 3g, fiber: 2g, sugar: 7g

  • 1 cup walnuts

  • 1 cup Medjool dates

  • 2 tablespoons raw cacao (powdered or cacao nibs, or unsweetened cocoa powder) 


Place walnuts in a food processor and blend until they have a crumbly texture. Add the dates and cacao and blend again.

Roll mixture into 1-inch  balls with your hands (use a melon baller if you have)  and they’re ready to eat. 

Store in a sealed container at room temp or keep in the refrigerator


tips

  • Roll balls in cacao powder for a fancy touch

  • Pre portion the balls out to only eat a few at a time

  • Add dried fruit, seeds, nuts, cayenne or other spices to kick it up
